Maison Lilli, the innovative fashion brand founded by designer Lina Nakanishi, embraces a nomadic concept. Drawing inspiration from her diverse cultural experiences and three beloved cities, Nakanishi has created a collection that feels like home to her. The designs of Maison Lilli are influenced by the vibrant atmosphere of Paris with a hint of the charismatic spirit of New York City, while all production takes place in Tokyo.

Originally from Tokyo, Nakanishi moved to New York City in 1998 to study fashion design at Parsons School of Design. After completing her studies, she gained experience working for various fashion brands in NYC for many years. However, with the onset of the pandemic and the newfound flexibility of remote work, Nakanishi realized that she could now pursue her vision no matter where she was located.

In 2022, after serving her last position at Supreme for 10 years, Nakanishi decided to embark on a new chapter by bidding farewell to NYC and fulfilling her childhood dream of moving to Paris.

Maison Lilli's collection effortlessly blends Parisian elegance with an infusion of New York's edgy attitude while incorporating a unique twist from Japanese culture. To guarantee meticulous craftsmanship and an unwavering attention to detail including custom-designed prints, production is brought back to Nakanishi's home country of Japan.
